We welcome entries from anyone living, working, attending school, or belonging to a club within 5km of Manor Park, Shepperton (our Fair site). Not sure if you’re within the area? Check our handy map.
While we really appreciate our Fair Committee members and professional photographers, you aren’t eligible to enter – but we’d love your help in spreading the word!
Share up to 6 of your favourite images with us – Main categories: Your first two entries are completely free, with additional entries at just £1 each – Age Group categories (7-11 and 12-17): All entries are free – submit up to 6 images at no cost – When entering, you can order prints of your images for £3 each – just select which ones you’d like on the entry form and include payment with your entry fee
We’re keen to display as many entries as possible at the Fair. If you’ve ordered prints, we’ll create these from your digital files regardless of whether we can display them on Fair Day. These will be yours to keep – a lovely memento of your participation.
All images must be your own original work and not previously entered in our competition. We want to see your unique perspective.
We celebrate authentic photography – this means we can’t accept AI-generated images. To verify authenticity, we might ask you to share your original camera/phone image file with metadata.
Please ensure you have any necessary permissions for people or private properties featured in your photos.
Time matters: All entries must reach us by midday on the Saturday one week before the Fair.
For the best display of your work: – Digital entries: Please send the largest possible JPEG or PNG files – Print entries: Mount your photos on white card with a maximum 2cm border, keeping the total size to 25.4 x 30.8cm (10x12in)
We’ll proudly display all prize winners and highly commended entries in our main marquee throughout Fair Day. Space permitting, we’ll showcase as many other entries as possible too.
Collecting prints: – If you’ve submitted physical prints to us, you can collect them between 5pm and 6pm on Fair Day – If you ordered prints from your digital entries, these will be ready for collection at the same time – Don’t worry if you can’t make it – we’ll contact you to arrange collection of any unclaimed prints
Our judging panel’s decisions are final in all matters, including rule interpretation.
By entering the competition, you grant permission for your images to be used to celebrate and promote the Shepperton Village Fair and our valued sponsors’ community activities. Specifically: – The Fair Committee may use your images to showcase the competition and promote future Fairs – Our sponsors (Village Matters and the Rotary Clubs of Shepperton and Sunbury) may feature winning entries in their publications and community outreach – If you are a younger entrant and choose to share your school details with us, we may let them know about your participation and achievement We’ll always credit you as the photographer when using your work. If you’d prefer to limit how your images are used, simply let us know at competitions@shepperton-fair.org when you submit your entry. Your privacy matters to us – we’ll only share your contact details with our sponsors for competition-related purposes.
While we’ll take the utmost care with your entries, neither the Fair Committee nor our sponsors can accept responsibility for any loss or damage.
For our youth categories (7-11 years and 12-17 years), entrants must be within the age bracket on the competition closing date.
