Photographic Competition Rules 

1. The competition is open to anyone living, working, attending school or belonging to a club within a 5km radius of Manor Park, Shepperton (the site of the Fair) – see map here.
2. Entrants must not be connected with the Fair Committee or the support team, and must have no commercial interest in photography either as a professional or an amateur.
3. Each entrant can enter a total of 6 images.
4. Images must have been taken by the entrant and must not have been previously entered into this competition.
5. Images generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) are not permitted. You may be asked to send us the original camera/phone image file, with full metadata, as part of the process of accepting or judging your entry.
6. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure all rights and permissions have been obtained for their image.
7. Entries must be received by midday on 1 June 2024. 
8. Online entries must be submitted as jpeg or png files in as large a size as possible. Prints must be mounted on a white card mount with a surround of no more than 2cm. The total size is to be to a maximum 25.4 x 30.8cm (10x12in).
9. All prize winners and highly commended entries will be displayed in the main marquee at the Fair on 8 June 2024 until the event closes at 5pm. We will display as many other entries as possible, depending on available space.   
10. All entrant-supplied prints, whether displayed or not, can be collected on Fair day between 5pm and 6pm. For supplied prints not collected, entrants will be contacted by the organisers to arrange return.
11. Judging will be by an appointed panel and the judges’ decision will be final in all matters, including interpretation of these rules.
12. The Shepperton Village Fair committee and the Sponsor reserve the right to use your submitted images for promotional and marketing purposes, without payment. The competition sponsor may wish to use some entries for publication in the Village Matters magazines and related promotion of the magazines. Your details and image(s) may therefore be passed onto the sponsor for this purpose only. If you do not wish for your details or image to be used in this way please advise the Photographic Competition Organiser at competitions@shepperton-fair.org 
13. Neither the Shepperton Village Fair committee nor any sponsors shall be responsible for any loss or damage in respect of any entry.
14. Entrants in the 7-11 years and 12-17 years categories must be the qualifying age on Saturday 1 June 2024.
